The Health Education (HE) Services links are a resource for assisting you in providing appropriate health education tips, materials, and updates for your members. Many are available in languages other than English.
Well-baby and early well-child visits should include education for parents on how they can help reduce their child's risk of developing food allergies. Excellent educational resources for parents may be found at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) parenting website, HealthyChildren.org, including a video on reducing the risk of peanut and other food allergies.
Clinicians may also access an informative journal article, Updates in Food Allergy Prevention, that details recent data on early introduction of foods with high allergy potential and recommendations. Thank you for your continued efforts to improve the health of children in your community.
