Job Opportunities

We strive to connect qualified providers with opportunities to practice in our local communities. Partnership contracts with thousands of providers in California who share our mission to provide high-quality care to low-income Californians. Organizations highlighted below include Federally Qualified Health Centers, Rural Health Clinics, and Tribal Health Clinics who provide valuable services to Partnership members across the varying communities we serve. Loan Repayment

Northern California includes opportunities to practice and receive much needed debt relief.  Depending on the practice type and patient population served, there may be several loan repayment opportunities available if you choose to practice in an outpatient primary care setting. While each program is different, most loan repayment program opportunities are available based on a designation called a medically underserved area. Medical Societies

Regional Medical Societies in Northern California can play an important role in integrating a new physician into a community of medical providers which includes support of state policy and advocacy work on behalf of practicing physicians. Local member benefits include networking opportunities (i.e. events for physicians and their family to be part of a medical community) as well as supports of physician's health and well-being through other local supports. Please visit the regional medical society websites below to learn more.

Strengthening Our Network

California Future Health Workforce Commission

The California Future Health Workforce report, released in 2019, forecasts this shortage to last approximately 10 years.  To help close the provider gap, Partnership is adopting recommendations from California Future Health Workforce Commission Final Report as a guiding principle in our work.

The California Future Health Workforce Commission was a commission made up of 24 commissioners that included health policy, workforce development, and education leaders in the state – including our own former CEO, Liz Gibboney. The commission worked for nearly 2 years to develop a plan on how the state might be able to meet the growing health care needs of Californians. The commission released the final report (executive summary linked here) which included 10 "Priorities for Action" for the state to utilize in order to create and sustain the workforce communities need.
